Romain Aeschmann was admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2014.

After working in several legal departments of the Canton of Geneva, he spent six years as an associate at a Geneva law firm before founding Zellweger & Associés with Corinne Rochat Pochelon and Christophe Zellweger.

His practice focuses primarily on criminal law and litigation.

In criminal matters, he advises and assists clients at every stage of the proceedings, in both general criminal law and financial crime. He also handles juvenile criminal law matters and proceedings under administrative criminal law.

He advises and represents individuals and businesses in court proceedings, particularly in contract law, employment law and enforcement matters.

Romain Aeschmann also acts in adult and child protection proceedings and in matters involving coercive measures under immigration law.

He holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and a Certificate in Transnational Law. In 2020, he further developed his expertise with a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Geneva’s Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM).

Alongside his legal practice, he served for six years as a sessional legal clerk at the Geneva Labour Court. In that role, he advised judges on the cases before them and assisted in drafting the Court’s judgments.

In every matter entrusted to him, Romain Aeschmann takes a practical, strategic approach that considers both the legal issues and the personal and financial implications of the dispute. Where the circumstances and the client’s interests permit, he seeks a negotiated settlement, while representing the client before the courts whenever litigation is necessary.
